Operated by:  Tasman Imports Exports Ltd

Location:  S of the B1070, NW of Manningtree, about 8.5nm SW of Ipswich town centre

Period of operation:  1967 to 1971

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide' to thank for this information. He tells us that G-ATDH and G-ASNI were based there.

A bit of research reveals that the Gardan GY-80 Horizon 160 G-ATDH was registered to Tasman Import Export from 01.12.67 to 06.02.69. This being replaced by the Scintex CP.1310C-3 Super Emeraude G-ASNI which was also registered to Tasman Import Export from 18.02.69 until 06.08.71.

Clearly there must be a story behind this short-lived airstrip. As always in this 'Guide', if anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be very welcome.
