NOTES:   What a treat to discover a new airfield in recent years. Hardly surprising of course to find it is a microlight operation. Many people are bleating about an uncertain future for GA in the U.K. Hardly surprising as the ever increasing costs, especially at licensed airfields, is getting way beyond the pockets of most people.

I have believed for many years that the microlight fraternity holds the key to the future, and, if a weight increase of around 100 kilos comes about for three-axis machines, it will be transformed. Many of the modern designs are already very good performers, engine power and reliability is progressing in leaps and bounds, and handling characteristics in many if not most cases, at least equal if not better the old fashioned certified GA types with their gas-guzzling thumpers of mostly U.S. origin. (Not really much improved since the 1930s).

If anybody can kindly offer advice and pictures, this will be much appreciated.
