Location: 2.5nm W of A15, 2.5nm SW of Folkingham, 8nm ESE of Grantham

Period of operation: Military: 1944 to 1963           Civil: 1980s only?
 

Runways: WW2: 02/20   1829x46   hard           07/25   1280x46   hard
                         13/31   1280x46   hard

 

NOTES: In 1959 FOLKINGHAM became a RAF Bomber Command ‘Thor’ IRBM missile base.

This picture, taken in 2013, was kindly sent by Laurence Garey. He tells us that the runways were being used to store large quantities of construction equipment.
