Operated by:  Mr George Doake

Location: Just S of Ballynagarrick, about 1nm NNE of Gilford village, roughly 4nm SE of Portadown town centre

Period of operation: Perhaps 2014 to 2019?

Runway:  18/36   215  grass      (Perhaps up to 265 metres?)

NOTES: Initial info source AAIB report EW/G2018/06/13. The base for the Jodel DR1050-M1 Sicile Record G-CIYB

We have to thank Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', for providing the exact location.

As an aside, a runway of between 215 and possibly 265 metres, seems to me to be very marginal at best for operating an aircraft such as G-CIYB? It has long been recognised that regularly operating an aircraft close to its limits will invariably end in tears. Sadly, just such a case here.
