NOTES: Info source, AAIB report EW/G2005/05/23.

It was Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide' who invited me to take another look at this location, which he kindly pinpointed for me. I had listed just a few details and no pictures. The result of doing this was not at all what I had expected. Indeed, just looking at the pictures raises many more questions than answers. The pictures in 2019 certainly confirms the existence of the airstrip, which was operating for a few years. Probably not now?

However, the pictures of 2007 and 2013 raises questions for which we can only surmise and conjecture about. In those days the main site was clearly used for stabling and excercising horses, seemingly for racing purposes judging by the layout. The horse racing fraternity have of course been keen fans of using both fixed wing, and latterly favouring helicopters for getting around.

So, is it just my imagination that, in the 2013 picture, a somewhat curved runway of around 1,720 metres might have been used? Probably so me being fanciful I expect, but, if anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be much appreciated.
