Kimberley Hall

KIMBERLEY HALL: Initially microlight strip, later GA strip added
Note: Quite probably a unique site in the UK having two seperate flying sites on the same property?

Location: Kimberley Hall is roughly 2.5nm NW of Wymondham town centre

Period of operation: Microlight strip for about 20 years in 2011, GA strip added between 2003 and 2006

Runways: The microlight strip is 07/25   475   grass      (Situated west of the Hall)

The GA strip is 13/31   750   grass       (Situated SE of the Hall)
Note: A look at Google Earth seems to indicate a runway more like 715 metres in length in more recent years. Although, this said, it does appear that a further section at the NW end could be used?

NOTES: Air displays have been held here from time to time in recent years.
