Note:  The first two pictures were obtained from Google Earth ©. The area view is from my Google Earth © derived database.

Location:  Just SSE to E of Lydlinch village on the A357, about 2.5nm W of Sturminster Newton, 4nm S of HENSTRIDGE aerodrome and roughly 7nm ESE of Sherborne town centre

Period of operation:  Unknown?  Perhaps c.2014/15 to around 2022?

Runway:  18/36   290   grass

NOTES:   It appears that this strip has been used by the owner of the de Havilland DH82A Tiger Moth G-ANRN, (ex T5368), who lives nearby. I assume it is based elsewhere as there is no obvious sign of a hangar.

We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', to thank for pointing out this location.

Having made the comment, (above), that there is no obvious sign of a hangar, I was very kindly contacted by Mr Mark Taylor, who pointed out that there is a hangar, hidden from view from above, underneath this tree.
