Malone

MALONE: Probably a temporary civil aerodrome/airport?

British airline user: Pre 1940: Northern Air Lines

Location: Roughly near the B103, E of the M1 motorway, and about 4nm SSW of Belfast city centre

Period of operation: 1924 only?

NOTES: I have placed this site in County Antrim, although it could well be in County Down? If anybody can kindly offer advice on this site it will be most welcome.

Northern Air Lines operated scheduled cargo services from AINTREE although they actually collected the cargo of newspapers from SOUTHPORT SANDS, April to June in 1924. See THE SWIFTS in CUMBRIA for more details of this service.
