MARBLE ARCH: Emergency Landing Ground    (Also known as HYDE PARK)

Military user: RNAS (Royal Naval Air Service) Home Defence Sqdns
 

Location: In Hyde Park just SW of Marble Arch, W of Park Lane and London West End

Period of operation: 1914 to 1915
 

NOTES: Apparently intended as a night ELG (Emergency Landing Ground) only. Was it ever used? See the HYDE PARK listing for one occasion when it was - albiet in the 1930s.
