Merrills Bridge

Note:  This map only gives the location of Merrills Bridge in Crewe. It is tempting to think they may have used Queen's Park, but experience has taught me to be very wary of jumping to such conclusions. If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.

MERRILLS BRIDGE: Temporary aerodrome

Operated by: Alan Cobham’s 1932 National Aviation Day UK Display Tour

Location: On the A532 just W of Crewe town centre

Period of operation: 3rd September 1932

NOTES: Was this also the venue for Alan Cobham’s 1929 Municipal Aerodrome Campaign Tour?
