MONTFORD SCHOOL: Military temporary airfield
Location: Close to MONTFORD BRIDGE airfield, see seperate entry
Period of operation: Early1942 only?
NOTES: It seems that a 75 acre field adjacent to the school playing field was used temporarily by aircraft arriving from REDNAL and SHAWBURY just before the MONTFORD BRIDGE aerodrome was opened.
