Location: In/near Fairey Cross just E/S of A39, 3nm WSW of Bideford

Landing area: 1998, large open grass area to SE corner of hotel

From around 2005 a concrete helipad seems to appear at the west end of the site.

NOTES:  I am not sure, but feel fairly certain, that I have not come across something similar to this elsewhere in the UK. It appears that roughly around 2005 this property was acquired by a new owner who made it his private residence. And it has remained private since, albiet having had a change of ownership.

What is of interest to me of course, is that after passing into private hands a concrete helipad and hangar were constructed - rather than the grass area available to visiting guests when it was a hotel. I might well be mistaken, but it looks as if lighting has recently been added to the helipad, making it suitable for night operations.

If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be much appreciated.
