SHEEPWASH: Private airstrip

Noye: (Also known as LUKES FARM according to some sources, WESTOVER FARM according to others. I think I'd favour WESTOVER FARM as being the most likely).

Operated by: 2001: Mr Roger Appleton

Location: 0.5nm W of Sheepwash, 10nm NW of Okehampton,15nm E of Bude

Period of operation: 1984 to around 2021

Runway: 2001: 17/35   800x35   grass

NOTES: For a strip of this length it is very unusual in that landings are on 35 (uphill) and take-offs are on 17 (downhill) and the strip is sharply undulating. Some flight guides warn that the strip is also prone to wind-shear and turbulence.
