Note:  The first three pictures were obtained from Google Earth ©. The area view is from my Google Earth © derived database.

Location:  About 2nm SSE of Coolham village, about 1.5nm W of Dial Post on the A24 and roughly 7nm SSW of Horsham town centre

Period of operation:  At a guess, roughly 2018 to 2021?

Runway:   04/22   370   grass

NOTES:  We have Mr Graham Frost, a great friend of this 'Guide', to thank for pointing out this location. He had found an advert for a farm for sale with an airstrip. Possibly Blonks Farm? The 2023 picture above certainly seems to show it as disused. No hangar is visible so presumably it was available just for visitors? This said, I was unable to find a Google Earth picture of an aeroplane perhaps based here in the open.

Why it is apparently known as SHIPLEY seems to be something of a mystery, as that village is about 1.5nm to the NNE. The usual answer is that it derives from the postal address. As often as not a very unreliable method of determining an actual location.

If anybody can kindly offer advice and information, this will be much appreciated.
