Military user: RAF Flying Training Command          23 Group

RLG  (Relief Landing Ground)
 

Location: W of Tiltup and WSW of Southrop villages, 3nm NW of Lechlade

Period of operation: 1940 to 1945

 

Runways: Steel matting   05/23    933  grass            15/33   850   grass 
                                       E/W   1052    grass


NOTES: Apparently it seems, this airfield was only used as a RLG for 23 Group, and so only North American T.6 Harvards and Airspeed Oxfords were the only types seen here? Unless you know better of course.
