Upper Middleton Farm
Note: This map only shows my guess as to where this 'airstrip' might have been located. It could easily be way out. If anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.
UPPER MIDDLETON FARM: Temporary landing site
NOTES: In the May 2007 issue of Popular Flying an article by Paddy Fitzgerald, (well worth reading), gives an excellent example as to how pilots of light aircraft can often use all sorts of temporary landing sites. In this case his friend Mr Trevor Ward, (Ex Head of Aerodrome Standards at the CAA), had invited Paddy to visit the Ludlow Festival and had paced out and marked a suitable ‘runway’ at UPPER MIDDLETON FARM. Used only once?
