Notes: As Mike admits, trying to pin down exactly, the location for these venues, has been very problematical. The newspaper advert was published in the Chelmsford Chronicle on the 26th June 1936.

Operated by: British Empire Air Display 1936 Tour of the UK, Coronation Air Displays 1937 Tour

Location: Galleywood Road 1.5nm SE of Chelmsford town centre

Period of operation: 1st July 1936, 23rd April 1937

NOTES: This site appears to be the opening venue for the Coronation Air Displays 1937 Tour.

Mike Holder also found this advert, also published in the Chelmsford Chronicle on the 16th April 1937, announcing an 'Air Display' on the 19th April. This was a few days before Coronation Air Display tour arrived. But it seems, no record can be found regarding who organised this event?

As always in this 'Guide', if anybody can kindly offer advice, this will be most welcome.
